The composition of the clay castables is generally 55% to 65% for refractory aggregates, 20% to 30% for refractory powders, and 10% to 15% for combined (soft) clays. The maximum allowable particle size of refractory aggregate is 8mm, and the aggregate size of aggregate is 8~5mm, 35%~40%; 5~3mm, 30%~35%; <3mm, 25%~30%.
